Beginning as a scales and industrial balances manufacturing company in Solingen, Germany in 1846, Krups was founded on founder’s Robert Krups’ simple principle: ‘…always to strive for the highest technical perfection’.
It wasn’t until 1951 that Krups made the leap from scales and balances to the consumer appliance sector.
Their highly popular cake mixer was released in 1959, quickly becoming a fixture in half of all West German homes. It was in 1961 that Krups dipped its toes into the coffee machine market, making an impressive start with the legendary T8 coffee machine.
Since then, Krups has gone on to manufacture products for every stage of coffee making, from grinders to milk frothers. Their reputation precedes them today. The Krups’ extensive range includes high-quality bean to cup coffee machines, to espresso, to Nespresso capsule machines and everything in between. They combine the latest connectivity with such features as automatic cleaning technology for the ultimate ease of use.
In 2001, Krups joined Groupe SEB, who have ensured that the brand has continued to live up to the ethos of its founder. Their products are considered premium coffee machines in the market and regularly appear in the best buy and most recommended lists.
